Michele Timms Basketball Academies start this week.

With 3 different Academies running at MTBA, there is definitely one to suit your player.

FUTURE STARS ACADEMY
6-9 YEARS BOYS AND GIRLS 4-5pm Thursday or Friday
9-11 YEARS BOYS AND GIRLS 5-6pm Thursday or Friday
This program is specifically designed for beginner/primary school and domestic players and focuses on the basic fundamentals of the game whilst rotating through different skill based stations. At the end of each session, game concepts are introduced via mini game play.

ALL STARS ACADEMY
This is a new Academy for 2020. 20 hand picked players from Future Stars will be invited to take their game to the next level on a Tuesday night 4-5pm across 2 courts at the Mullum Mullum Venue. This Academy is about getting players ready for the next phase of their basketball journey into Elite basketball.
This Academy is Coached by Michele Timms and Olympic Coach, Peter Buckle along with assistant Coaches Lucy Phillips and Jo McAullife.

ELITE ACADEMY
Monday through to Wednesday from 4-6pm
The Elite Academies are designed for U12 and U14 boys and girls playing Friday VJBL competition. Set in a small group environment of no more than 8 players per group, players are coached the finer techniques of the game by some of the best teaches of the game.

Advanced skills, Footwork, being dynamic, concepts of the game, resilience, attitude and a winning mindset is a focus during the Term. Players are encouraged and challenged to be their best through out the one hour on court sessions each week.

With Head Coaches Michele Timms, Tom Maher and Peter Buckle being joined in 2020 by specialist Handles Coach Damon Lowery, the Academy boasts the best coaches in Australia.
